..everyone else was cheap. I deliver pizza and I can tell you that drivers appreciate tips now more than ever. People tip less because the economy is bad and drivers are having to pay outrageous gas prices. Its tough to make a profit.

My kids are good for tipping as much as the purchase price if it’s payday or they’re drunk, etc. The drivers usually try to give some back, but the kids won’t hear of it (but they complain plenty the next day). The drivers never get super hyper excited, but you can tell when they’re happy.

I wonder how much you over-tipped. Now I want pizza too but all I have is $3.87 and if I walk over to the bank at 3:00 AM… Well, maybe tomorrow I will plan ahead. Don’t feel bad. The pizza guy is probably working his way through college and now he won’t have to work anymore and can attend his studies properly. As a matter of fact he will probably just forget college now and retire.
